⚠️ Lights Not Working? Check the Metal Prongs First

During shipping, the small metal prongs inside the puddle light connector can sometimes shift or flatten, preventing proper contact. This is the most common reason puddle lights don't work out of the box — and it's an easy fix.

Push down the small metal prongs if your puddle lights aren't working

How to fix it:

  1. Look inside the connector on the back of the puddle light
  2. You'll see small gold/silver metal prongs inside
  3. Using a small flathead screwdriver or your fingernail, gently nudge the prongs down slightly — just a small adjustment, not flat
  4. Reconnect the puddle light to the harness and test

This should restore proper connection and get your lights working.

🔧 Installation Steps

  1. Locate the factory door puddle light socket in your door (driver and passenger side)
  2. Twist the factory puddle light counterclockwise and pull it out
  3. Plug the RVP Supply puddle light into the factory socket — it's a direct plug & play fit
  4. Test the light before closing the door panel
  5. Repeat for all doors included in your kit

❓ Troubleshooting

  • Light not turning on? Check the metal prongs (see above)
  • Light flickering? Make sure the connector is fully seated and clicked in
  • Wrong color showing? The lights may cycle through colors on first connection — this is normal
